RR22. Very Rare Antique Venetian Paper Mache Mardi Gras Head having been completely done by hand. The face is totally hand painted and decorated in addition to the unique hand sewn costume. The head is filled with vivid hand painted ornaments as shown in all photos in addition to the rare head piece above the face. Circa Late 1800's and in Wonderful condition for this age. So many unique Colours of Purple, Rose, Blue, Cream, Pink, having gold metallic tassels which are lighter now due to age. The upper part of his face above his foreword opens up his entire head piece only to reveal a round mirror and deep pocket inside as perhaps one could continue to open and close it during the show piece center piece. His eyes are are a showcase itself in addition to the rest of his face to made this the center of attraction and rare appearance of any show. Its amazing how long this has lasted and certainly an antique rare treasure. His eyes appear life like and his ruby red lower lip with gold eye shadow are extremely showy.
Measures: 22 " Tall by 18" Wide by 3 1/4 just his nose... He appears larger when viewing in person due to his bellowed out costume and headpiece. I did not include / his head piece as it would be even taller--as they fold down as shown anyway.
#PO2RS. Stunning Fine Silk Brocade French Antique Portieres. Total of 2 and more gorgeous in person. Both lined at backside with upper banding for hanging easy. Circa 1840's and in the colour of rich bright red. The silk is fine and does come with flaws for being so old however they appear just stunning as shown here in all my photos. The upper on each can be turned upward to make them taller if needed or can be used as shown here.
Measures: 7 feet tall includes the fringe. Valance attached to upper is 2'4" if needed taller you can reduce the size of the valance by folding it shorter with the fringe showing. One panel is missing only 3 tassels at base which does not distract from these gorgeous portieres. The fabric and quality is very high in these and they are Exquisite in person as shown in all my photos.
Width is 3'8".
# ??. French Antique Valances--total of 3 with one shorter then others. Each having wonderful appliqué's and each in rich gorgeous deep burgundy velvet with lining to each on the backside.

#0567. Huge Woven Silk, quality, French Antique Valance having very long fringe surroundings. Hooks already attached and in beautiful colour of red. Fully Lined at backside. Can be used for Valance or Door Curtain.
